Part of me is sad. The other part says, "OM, it was pretty much a dump when you started going in the late 80s."

 

Many of us had a lot of good times at that place.

Many years that was the Ham Radio highlight for the year. Sad to see Dayton Hamvention SK and the arena too.

 

What a wonderful way of putting it!

 

Made my first couple of visits in the mid-'80s. It's kinda like Niagra Falls. You should see it at least once in your life. Fortunately, the Falls are still there.

 

I was shown the way of HARA in the early 80s, then by the mid 80s the beer had green mold in it from the arena owned bar the only place allowed to sell beer... I said to my mentor ... the ball room is fallin' apart, the beer has green mold in it... BUT I met Wayne Green Today so wow this place is KEWL !
