    When running CW I know if I am being heard when someone calls me back. If no one calls me back then I have to figure no one hears me OR the lids are just ignoring me...so I just call CQ a thousand more times.

    That's what some here say. I've seen no evidence of it--though it would be hard to know. Certainly none of the OPs I know are doing that. Anyhow, OM, I was on the air with FT8 and FT4 for quite some time and the modes sure are not dead. :rolleyes:

    the new wsjt-x has all sorts of auto features, not dead but when its abandoned I would consider it certain death

    I thought FT-8 was a Beacon mode.

    Just out of curiosity... At what point did you decide that you make the rules for all others in ham radio?

    Perhaps, your time would be better spent studying spelling and grammar than condemning others for their enjoyment in ham radio.

    A good rulf of thumb is; things are not always what they seem to be.
