Testing a you tube video URL to start playing at a specified time in the video. "t=763" For example: (omitted the https:// portion) youtu.be/9viOArsegIs?t=763
Desired URL: youtu.be/9viOArsegIs?t=763 It cuts off the "?t=463" portion in the URL when attempting to post and it ends up as: MEDIA=youtube]9viOArsegIs[/MEDIA Hmmm.
The meat of a video should start at the beginning, Then the BS should be near the end. Some YouTube videos can be irritating.
Works for me. Video started at the 12:42 mark, if that is what you were attempting? BTW, I will watch this as it looks like a good way to restore wafer switches! Thanks.
Hi Charles - it DOES work if you edit the link and append the "?t=463" - see your OP where I made that change. It works fine. But XenForo doesn't know how to display the preview for that - so it strips off the preview window, leaving the raw link. So it just looks like this: youtu.be/9viOArsegIs?t=763 and isn't even an actual link as such - you have to highlight the text, then right-click then "go to" As soon as you append the "https://" the software reverts to a basic YouTube link without the time parameter. It's just a XenForo thing. They probably never even thought about folks wanting to post time-stamped YouTube video links. Dave W7UUU
Thanks Dave. Sometimes you just want to show someone a particular spot in the video when describing something technical without running the entire movie production video. Lol. Anyways I was just trying to figure out if Xenforo can do that. Hope you enjoy the holidays and stay warm up there.
