    Well done!

Very peculiar how 6 meters (and possibly 10 meters) looks sinusoidal.

Thanks! I wonder if any of the modeling gurus have any plots of this type antenna...

Yeah, it's an odd duck of an antenna to be sure.

Not the beat all, end all antenna to be sure, but it was a fun little build. I already had the 4:1 and the wire, I just had to get the 375 watt resistor for like $70 and rough tested it in like an hour. I was pretty amazed at it's performance so I tweaked it and made it a permanent part of my antenna farm. I already had an EFHW-8010 and a 9-band Hustler vertical so having a dedicated antenna that would double as an NVIS antenna seemed only logical.

Wonder if it would be a circle on a Smithy chart?

My last encounter, a veritable mental wrestling match, with Mr. Smith's charts was in the early 70s at the Samuel I. Ward Technical College. I've since avoided both charts and Ward Tech like the plague.

Age, Beauty, and license class is a poor measurement of knowledge... in other words, don't discount yourself...everyone has something to share as far as experience and knowledge.

End fed wire antennas can work very well under many circumstances. They have some disadvantages, but with careful installation, they can work well and be particularly versatile offering multi-band operation.

Friend, good antenna as I think. Where did you find that resistor?
I'm pretty new on this and I need to try to find an antenna that works well in my QTH. 73! XE2MDH

Thanks for posting. Looks like a fun antenna to try.

    That's a classic "obtuse vee"....something I find oddly intriguing.

I've built many oddball termination resistors with a standard 50 ohm load and an appropriate broadband transformer. This is especially convenient when building a Beverage or such.
