The Yaesu FTM-7250D will be my first ham mobile radio, and decided to see what 270 dollars and ignoring the internet advice to get the FTM-100 instead, will bring. The radio looks simple and commercial, and the controls feel great. Though this radio does not have the features/value of the FTM-100 the price does seem representative for what you get. The following are the checks I made using my service monitor, followed by a link to the images from my teardown.

Bench test results out of the box: Receiver Sensitivity good to -124dB
Frequency Alignment within about 100 Hz
    Low Power TX: 5.83W
    Med Power TX: 24.8W
    High Power TX: 48.3W
    All accessories checked good
