ICOM heard the market, when Yaesu dont wants a new try. The ID-5200A is a refreshed Yaesu FTM-400, which I like instead. The new photos and data are showing the next step devolopment in this direction. Its not the same, but near to. Here the latest technology surely will make forgot old faults in software and hardware. Yaesu was a trendsetter for about more than 10 years with this ideas and had less success. ICOM shows now, that this is a part of the HAM-radio future. So older OMs and YLs are now ready to take this step, which was for over 10 years a laugh for some. Its not a toy, its modern technology. The community should get this for real right now.
