    Aha!! You know I used to live in Long Beach and drove by that vessel every day on my way to the Navy Base...

    I was transferred in 1976, before the station went on the air.

    Didn't realize it was such a "secret"

    Have gotten a few SWL cards from mostly France and Germany via Buro.
    I also get SWL "cards" at eqsl for FT8 contacts, which befuddles me a bit.

    Just received a SWL card today from a Russian listener regarding a qso I had with EA9ACD (Cueta and Melilla) a year ago on 20cw... Checked my log and he was spot on. I'll send him a card direct, for the simple reason he can copy 20wpm or better cw. Those kinds of skills from a SWL will get you a card.

    Wish he's put in for a ham license, we could use him on the cw bands
