Put together a 2m copper j-pole tonight. Hooked up my Surecom sw-102 SWR meter(also displays power and frequency.)

Sometimes the results I get make sense, and sometimes they don't. Sometimes it tells me I'm pottunbg out less than 0.8w, when the radios set to 8w, and it also tells me my frequency's over 500mHz, when I'm transmitting on 2m. Other times the results exactly what I expect. Tried it with several radios and also several different antennas, so it appears the issue is the meter itself.

Any ideas? Probably going to have to order a new meter.

    Chinese junk.

Or a bit fancier, so "junque.":)

I strongly suspect your rig is fine and the meter is the problem.
