QST de W1AW Propagation Forecast Bulletin 16 ARLP016 From Tad Cook, K7RA Seattle, WA April 17, 2020 To all radio amateurs SB PROP ARL ARLP016 ARLP016 Propagation de K7RA Sunspots are gone again. We are at the bottom of the solar cycle, so conditions should only get better. There is an increase in on-air activity due to the large number of people staying at home because of Covid-19, and this week we seem to be overwhelmed with reports of sporadic E openings. The last observed sunspot disappeared on April 5, so weekly average daily sunspot numbers declined from 5.1 last week to zero this reporting week, April 9 to 15. Average daily solar flux went from 70.2 to 69.5. HAPPY DXing
Eh, 30m, 40m, 80m, and 160m are working just fine. No need to wait another five years for HF contacts, just use the bands that work today.
