Hey Charlie, after I get a better grasp on this SOTA thing I am going to order a key and oscillator in attempts to try to learn this CW you speak of. I am pretty sure I am going to be pestering you from time to time for some practice QSOs. I've always wanted to learn but have a few barriers to learning. Namely, no radio capable of sending CW.
Yes, there are a few hurdles to get set up. No reason you can't start learning without the radio until you secure one. GL and I hope to catch you on the airwaves.
I learned that back when I was a Novice in the early 1970’s. I still do it at the end of a QSO. You can tell I’m old by my dits.
