    The modulation (deviation) is multiplied along with the carrier frequency.

    146.52mhz/ 12.21mhz gives you a X12 multiplier

    So you need to divide the 5 khz by 12, or 416.666666666666666666666hz :rolleyes:

    thank you, yeah, I know I got a few wrong but I felt confident through most of the test. I didn't bring a calculator so I had to do all the math in my head.

    the multiple choice answers for the wavelength questions were for each band, so it seemed almost like a gimme. The ones that really posed an issue were some of the atmospheric terms.

    Now I need to get a radio and an antenna... I will be making a silly post later on that, because my uninspired mind at the moment is giving a bad case of tunnel vision.
