Keep up the good work guys, hope others will jump in and donate to your really cool endeavor.

Have you tried the local news channels, they all need positive and real events.

 

We have not yet tried that. Thank you very much for the idea! We will look into that and keep you posted about what happens.

Do you plan on a write up for QST after the project is complete, that would be very cool.

 

If they asked me to, I would be glad to do so.

 

My opinion would be to write it and just submit it with color photos, a graph and maybe an equation or two, its most certainly within the scope of QST and interesting.

I suspect Ward is going to piece something together after the eclipse.

Fldigi and the python control library are now installed on the raspberry pi!!! We made an audio out cable to adapt the 3.5mm audio out jack on the pi to convert it to an RCA jack on the transmitter, and the cable works great.
