I think it might be my moon-bounce transmission that went off course back in 1983. I remember I had my antenna around the wrong way at the time

Would have liked to have listened to the audio signal, do they have a link for the audio clip.

This explains why the signals were within the satellite’s frequencies and only appeared and persisted for Ross 128; this star is close to the celestial equator where many geostationary satellites are located. This fact, though, does not yet explain the strong dispersion-like features of the signals (diagonal lines in the figure); however, It is possible that multiple reflections caused these distortions, but we will need more time to explore this and other possibilities.

Remember that this a water fall turned to the right on it's side. Question, why has not anybody considered the "Doppler Effect" to explain this so called "dispersion" ? Also the area within the red line looks as it has encountered a noise reduction as the BLUE color is bleeding through. If this is from a satellite, is this data stream known to no one? Classified perhaps even....

...sorry to be acting so focused on the topic ~

Looks more an ultra wide band, frequency hopping data transmission to me. Maybe used by some old military satellite as a detection avoidance technique. No problem to detect nowadays though.
