My favorite ham radio event of the entire year. I can't wait!!

Sadly, I don't have an old boat anchor to get on the air with, but I will be using my cool NATO Admiralty key.

Hope to work some of you guys!

What does the dial on top of the key do?

I really like this event also. I don't have a real boat anchor but will be using my Ten Tec Omni D and probably a J-38, or something like that. It is fun no matter what equipment you use!

    It adjusts spacing between contacts.

I'll be on - using my Elmer's 1938 Speed-X, a J-38, an USN Explosion Proof, my original Chrome "no name" bug I got when I was 14 in 1975, and a new no-name straight key that has a really nice feel.

All will be on a Drake 2NT/2A/2AQ setup (I do realize vintage gear is NOT required for SKN - but for me, it's just a nostalgia thing).

I'll be looking for ya'll there!! One of my favorite nights of the year radio-wise.

Yeah, I'll be on but no vintage equipment, although I sure wish I had my old rigs. :(

But, I do have a J-38. :) I gave my son my Vibroplex from 1960? Maybe I'll imagine I'm using my DX-20 or one of my favorite home brews. :)

The moral of my story is to not go in the service because all your stuff, including Mickey Mantle baseball cards will be tossed out. :)
