    Stephen H. Cornell
    June 18, 1938 - August 29, 2017

    Stephen H. Cornell, age 79, of Liberty Township passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
    He was born in St. Augustine, Florida the son of Benjamin and Eleanor (Stead) Cornell.
    He received an electrical engineering degree from the University of Florida.

    Stephen had a rewarding career with Philips Electronics, Perkin Elmer and Hamilton Safe Company.
    He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

    In Hamilton, Ohio he married Janet Henkel and they celebrated 51 years of marriage.

    Stephen was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in West Chester where he enjoyed fellowship with local friends and parishioners.
    He relished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

    Stephen is survived by his wife Janet; daughters Catherine (Michael) Dunleavy of Lake Oswego, Oregon and Caroline (Eric) Meister of Liberty Township, Ohio and his beloved grandchildren Anna, Andrew and Stephen Meister and Kaylee and Chase Dunleavy.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Eleanor Cornell and his brother, Donald Cornell.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, West Chester, Saturday, September 2 at 10:00AM with visitation preceding the mass at 9:00AM.

    Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

    Memorials may be sent to the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), 225 Main Street Newington, Ct. 06111-1494 or a charity of one’s choice.
