As verified on their web site in April 2026, Steppir is re entering the ham business after announcing an exit in mid 2025. This is fabulous news for the Amateur Radio world!!! You can see the announcement popup at https://consumer.steppir.com/ CONSUMER PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT As our amateur radio customers know, we exited the consumer market in June of 2025. At that time, we did not know what our exact future was - our plan was to pursue commercial projects in search of more stable long-term income sources, but we never lost hope on the idea of returning to the amateur radio market in some form. Thanks to some recent (and continuing) exciting developments on the commercial side of things, SteppIR will now be able to guarantee future sales of our consumer product line via online web sales! All parts and accessories that are on our website are available for purchase and will continue to be available into the future. Multiple items have been substantially reduced in price. We will be bringing back select antennas that will be purchased as kits on our website - Urban Beam Yagi 40m-6m (dipole on 40m/30m), 3 element Yagi 20m-6m, 4 element Yagi 20m-6m. The 3E and 4E Yagi will also have the 40/30 loop dipole option available. We will also be selling the SmalliR vertical 20m-6m, and the BigiR vertical, 40m-6m. Warranty support and services will be in effect for these antennas as well as any purchased parts and accessories DUE TO THESE COMMERCIAL PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS, WE BELIEVE WE WILL BE ABLE TO INTRODUCE SOME EXCITING NEW PRODUCTS FOR THE CONSUMER MARKET THAT WILL ENHANCE ALL EXISTING AND FUTURE STEPPIR ANTENNAS, IN THE NOT-TOO- DISTANT FUTURE. steppIR COMMUNICATION
not everyday that a company leaves the consumer market, does good commercially AND returns to pick us [the consumer] up back up when they are doing better. RIP Drone industry
I hope they can build something that will stand up to heavy ice loading and high wind. 73 from, Steve https://www.k0uo.com/k0uo "Rhombic Antenna Farm & test range" Miles of Wire In the Air and On the Air Daily.

Seems they can't make up their mind. A divorce, and now...oops!...they want to get back together. Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
During the dot-com boom, our regional telephone company started “rebranding “ themselves. We’re really not a telephone company, we’re an Internet company, they said. Then the dot-bomb bust happened. And then they started making smarmy TV ads about how they’ve always been our telephone company, and they always will be our telephone company. Complete with heart-warming biographies of their loyal employees, who had been working all their lives to provide us with top class telephone service. Exit, stage left. Umm… No, enter, stage right.
I have never seen a company exit a market and then a short time later re enter it. If the commercial market was so lucrative, why would they bother with the amateur segment?
The amateur market is shallow but broad, meaning, the market covers more geographical area (countries) but the commercial market is a tough nut to crack. Tough competition.
