To Honor The Memory Of The Crew Of STS-107, Columbia, Those Seven Brave Souls That Lost Their Lives Last Year.

Next Sunday, February 1, 2004 there will be a special event station to mark the anniversary of the STS-107 Columbia Space Shuttle tragedy. If possible please try to work the station, you will find all the information on page 104 February 2004 QST, under Special Events (first column, second entry, "Nacogdoches,TX"). Last year I was able to be a member of one of the search, and recovery teams as an Amateur Radio operator. I traveled to East Texas and had the opportunity to work with one of the nicest group of Hams I have ever met (it was my way of giving back a little, for all the operators that traveled to NYC to help out after 9/11).
Please spread the word, and try to work the station, it will mean a lot to me and the other operators that participated.

       Thank you
