On May 27, 2006 Kent Amateur Radio Station will operate K3ARS on 28.340 21.340 14.240 and 7.240 at 1200z to 2100z to celibrate the re-enactment of the dumping of tea into the chester river on May 23, 1774.

Like their friends in Boston, the citizens of Chestertown, MD decided to protest the taxes imposed by the British on the tea they enjoyed so much. In 1774 the Brig Geddes arrived in Chestertown with a hold full of tea, the patriots were happy to toss all of the tea from the Brig Geddes into the Chester River. Each Memorial Day weekend the people of Chestertown celebrate this heroic act by holding the "Tea Party Festival" and re-enacting this historic event
