Special Event Station Callsign

What is the process for getting the callsign N7F released for a Special Event Station?

 

What is wrong with this system is that as the SE call is reassigned, linkage to the previous call sign holder information is lost. Is there a better way? Readers of this thread, chime in!

 

I agree, I was surprised that a SES call I was managing was re-assigned with no notice. It would be nice to know I'll be losing access to the page before it's reassigned. Is there a way to back up the site somehow to be able to restore it when the call sign is returned? We use the same call sign 5x a year...

 

What do we ask for when we submit the support ticket? Under what category do we assign the ticket?

 

I'd use "Report A Problem/Ask a Question, but the Callsign change one would likely work too.

 

If you go to 'edit->biography' and then choose 'source' .... you can copy your html and restore it.
I've used this to 'duplicate' my main callsign page for other/suffix callsign pages.
Just save your last good copy to a file to restore it.

Also save your CSS styles under 'Edit->Expert options including CSS styles' if you modified the CSS.


QRZ also maintains a history of the edits to the bio/html text. As long as the people 'sharing' your callsign don't delete your versions, you can roll back.

Then choose your version from the list. History appears to be cleared after 90days. It looks like this:
