Just to put this in it's proper context, this story's origin is from the blog Liberation from the System; a conspiracy theory blog devoted to paranoia about black helicopters, the HAARP array, The Montauk Project, and variety of crazy anti-gov nonsense. Including that alien lizard people have invaded all levels of government, a favorite topic of morons like Alex Jones. This story then appeared on Alex Jones webcasts, then was picked up by FN (Fox News aka the origin of the term Fake News, BTW). Fox never retracted the story after reporting it.

BTW, in the Montauk Project consiracy theory, the device used to open portals to other dimensions is "the still top-secret Hammarlund SP-600-RX17 inter-dimensional receiver". And yet, the thread meanders 6 pages without anyone whining about easy no-code license exams and puling there are no young people in the hobby, or any of the usual off-topic distractions that typically invade the discussions ... so, from that point of view, it is kind of refreshing.

And, we all missed the clear opportunity to relate the story to ham radio by mentioning this is just the sort of paranormal activity conspiracy theory Art Bell W6OBB (sk) would have loved!
