    My spanish isn't very good to listen, but these guys have great signals here into NYC, who & where are they?

    There are several on 20 right now. Ecuador, Portugal and Puerto Rico so far.

    I hear a lot of Spanish on the HF bands, but some of it is very close by (Mexico!) so I even hear it on two meters.

    There are places in the West far from Mexico where you hear it on the linked repeater networks. I listened to one such for a long time in Colorado a while ago.

    And, about 15% of NY households speak Spanish, and no doubt some are hams.

    Around my neck of the woods in the southwest it's much higher, 29% in New Mexico and California, and the Spanish colonized this area long before the "english".
