Southwest Florida Regional Hamfest Jan. 10-11, 2025: A Celebration of Amateur Radio and Community

Ham Radio Operators descend on Fort Myers, Florida. Each January, Fort Myers comes alive with the sights and sounds of amateur radio as the Southwest Florida Regional Hamfest draws enthusiasts from across the state to share knowledge, connect, and celebrate the art of radio communication. The event, hosted by the Fort Myers Amateur Radio Club (FMARC)—a non-profit organization founded in 1957—combines a lively flea market, FCC license testing, and interactive workshops in a dynamic gathering for both seasoned “hams” and newcomers curious about amateur radio.

The Hamfest 2025 event occurs on Friday, January 10, from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday, January 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Florida Southwestern College’s Building U in Fort Myers.
