Some help needed on wiring up a new 110VAC electrical outlet for relocating my ham shack.

    My guess is, It will take more than 1 hour to do it properly.

    It would be at least a 6 pack job for me. Maybe even 12 on a hot day.

    It might be best to just go for such a project when fully drunk.

    Using gloves and shutting off breakers before doing wiring is for sissies.:):p

    One could argue that they indeed did NOT "get somebody 'who knows about electrical wiring.'" :eek:

    First of all I'm betting that you don't have 110 outlet it is probably a 120 volt nowadays, get a qualified electrician

    We are about 122V, but I still call it 110 or 220 (for a nominal 240V). Old habits, and I'm not even that old. It was always about 115-117V when I was a kid in the 70s. Or that's what my dad's Simpson said when I stuck it in the outlet.

    These numbers are nominal and don't indicate any lack of knowledge.

    Of course the OP's other questions do indicate that he would probably be best served hiring someone as numerous folks here have said.
