Wow! I thought it was just me he was so rude to! Whatta JERK! I stopped weeks ago myself.
And I never even made any remark about that little kid in the naval officer's costume either.

Yeah, when the "mommy, mommy, mommy, another poster is cyberstalking me" nonsense posts began, it was time to "turn the page".

Been really resisting the urge, but I think that it is time to add the 1st person to my ignore list. The Straight Key forum has been a dreary place thanks to a certain frequent poster.

VK5EEE complains about my avatar. Perhaps he'd be happier with the uniform I was wearing in 1975. It's the uniform of a real Radio Officer in the British merchant navy. See his QRZ page for further info... :p

A proud / handsome young lad indeed !

Just a tid-bit about the merchant service: The RST system was never, to my knowledge, used (unless you knew that the R/O was a ham.
It was just a much simpler QSA 1-5 & QRK 1-5.

I remember sometimes telling a vessel that s/he was ; QSA2 QRK5 QRN5 pse QRX15 (I'm having trouble copying your loud signal due to equally loud static crashes, please try again in 15 minutes) dit dit
