And for the 200 watt model https://www.hamradio.co.uk/amateur-...tion-radio/yaesu/yaesu-ftdx101mp-pd-9373.php#
Is the PSU for the 'MP' in the speaker? It looks physically the same size as the 'D' version so the PSU must be external. I can never see the point of a 200w rig. An extra 100w is neither here nor there. Most folks wanting more than 100w will be driving a linear, and the linear won't need more than about 80w for full output.

Gigaparts put the MSRPs for the FTDX101D and MP on their Facebook page and it's a shocking $5000 and $6500. Street prices will probably be $500 to $700 lower but DAMN that's a high price, especially when trying to compete with the Icom 7610. Gate open, run 1 foot, fall flat on face, race over.
That's a lot of coin but lets see what it can do, it may be worth it. Don't forget, the FT-5000 was about the same price when it came out.
Maybe what someone posts/reads on "Wastebook" is totally Bulshivic! Maybe it was put there by a retailer to cause someone to spend money today to buy 7610s or 890s instead of waiting the release of an unknown radio. Maybe the Yeasu is cheaper than both of those. Maybe, just maybe, just say'n! Hey on the internet I'm a French model!
