Horrible train crash in between Moscow and St. Petersburg took away the life of Andrew Golopurov, RU1AO.
He was heading home on 27/11/2009 to participate in cqwwdx contest.
Experienced HAM, brilliant radio-specialist, proud owner of plenty of diplomas and awards like dxcc hr, dxcc challenge, waz etc...
He will be missed by his family, fellow hams and friends...

It is with deep and sincere sadness I receive the news that a fellow Radiosport enthusiast, Andrej Golopurov RU1AO, is not anymore with us in the international radiosport family.

My condolences to his family (parents, wife and daughter).

On the way to participate in CQWW CW, an absolutely meaningless act of terror ends the life of a contester I have worked so many times during the years.

You left us way to early Andrey, but you will be remembered eternally by your friends in the Amateur Radio and Radiosport community!
