So sorry to hear this. I really enjoyed all that Glen freely shared with all of us. He will be greatly missed. RIP Glen. And hoping for comfort to all his family and friends. James WD5GWY
Yes, sad "news" to hear. We often did not see eye-to-eye, but he was a good ham and very helpful here. His voice will be missed. Rest In Peace Glen.
73 and god speed my friend, you were universally liked and respected by all, you will be missed around here.
Glen was a gentleman and a scholar. As a very new ham, I remember his CQ articles. He was one of the folks who inspired me to try my hand at technical writing. I trust his vast collection of radios will be taken care of. RIP Glen.
On behalf of the family, I just wanted to thank all of you for your kind words about my father. Ham radios were such a passion of his and I appreciate the entire community throughout the years giving him a place of comradery. We spent part of today admiring his vast collection of call sign cards from all over the world that was sent to him over the past 50+ years. At a later date, I am considering possibly getting a ham license, so I may hang out at that time in here for insight on how all that works, if that’s ok. Thank you, Glen’s daughter Wendy
DEAR WENDY,, WE ARE ALL DEEPLY SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR DAD. WE THOUGHT THIS LINK WOULD BE HELPFUL TO YOU. https://www.fcc.gov/wireless/bureau...-radio-service/amateur-vanity-request-types-2 RESPECTFULLY,
He will be missed! He had one heck of a lot of knowledge about amateur radio and was always there to answer questions for us. A classs act for sure!
RIP Glen, you were such an inspiration and Elmer to so many...to say you will be missed doesn't come close. Prayers for the family also.
Please do (when the time is right); we will all be glad to assist you. Your ham ticket would enable you to keep his radios tubes glowing in a manner truly befitting his memory. My condolences to you and your family, too. 73 (best regards) Jeff, AJ5J Rockport, Texas
