    This idea can be carried a step further by using the CPU heatsink from an old Pentium computer (back when they had big multifin heatsinks). Mount the SO-39 close to the noninductive resistor and done.

    Not my idea; this was done by N0SS back in 2003. Article attached. He used Caddock resistors but the principle is the same.
