During his ham career he assisted hundreds of hams to obtain their licence, most physically impaired. Known as the "Golden Dog House", his skills were learned from his father. Duke's son learned from him, also a silent key 10 years ago. He checked in to nearly every traffic net available to him in Central Texas and the California Bay area. I hope one day to obtain his call to honor him."
