She’s pretty clean, found out afterward some of Iron was swapped out.

Plate transformer is only 3100 volts and should be 3560, the mod reactor by part number is only 40 H should be 65 H, HV choke seems ok and mod. Transformer is stock.

It is a 1000/500 so the power reduction scheme is different than the 1000/250-watt model.

Like to find a schematic for the 1000/500-watt model.

Finding things that need repaired or replaced before firing up.

Need to modify, going to run 160,80,40 meters. Plan on using a Heathkit VF-1 VFO and 51J4 for the receiver plus a input port if I want to drive it with a solid state radio. Need to decide how PTT will work and how the B+ will be switched. I see lots of good info and knowledge on the Bauer 707 here and on the net, so I'm hoping this will go smoothly.

Let me find it and I’ll email it to you. Between Philip KA4KOE and myself, we have a ton of information on the 707. I just sold mine a couple of months ago and now have a 20V-2. The Bauer is a wonderful transmitter and is fairly easy to modify but there are some caveats that must be adhered to in order for it to run correctly. More on that later.

Spent the day cleaning, found leaky cap c35 mounted on side so I wore gloves i'm sure it had pcb in it. dummy load reads 98 ohms and has green wires in it, its toast.
Ordered cap and should have in a couple days. Need to replace some HV wire mice started eating until they got a surprise, tube sockets need cleaning as well.
Now to clean the office to make room, that may be a challenging chore in its self, may need to rethink layout.

The VF-1 came with it along with other items to put it on the ham bands. I do like AA8V's design and may go with, thanks for the info.
