    Hi QRZers;

    Ever found needing to have more than one app using the serial port - and you got bummed?

    Like, you doing some digital mode and logging with N1MM? Or <insert other simultaneous need here>?

    And not wanting to pursue the HRD share route?

    I have written a tutorial on how to setup Eterlogic VSPE - it will create a new COM port to be used by your applications- and this can be shared / used simultaneously by more than one application.

    Hope it's of help;

    Results from sharing the single port may not be what you expect. The best option is to use tool like RigCAT which creates a network server and then configure all programs to use that it instead of direct control via COM port. Most HAM programs support RigCAT or similar network server tool.

    I will share my CAT if you feed him on alternate days.
