Level 3 icy road conditions surrounding us; county sheriff just put out a do-not-travel-unless-absolutely-necessary message via cell phone text. XYL made it to work without incident. Normally it takes her 18 minutes on good roads with good light. Took her some longer today. She is essential emergency personnel, she's the lead CAT scan tech for her hospital. I'm sitting here with the dual-band on scan; my motives are entirely selfish -- just conversed with an OM in the Lorain area and got firsthand, boots-on-the-ground report of what their roads north of us are actually like. What can I say. I had the chance to get accurate information, and I took it. I am an opportunist!
