On September 12, the Lisbon Region Amateur Radio Association (ARRLx) will activate the special event station CS26FE.
We are running this station to mark the 860th anniversary of the "Foral de Évora".
A foral is a royal town charter, the founding document granted by the King of Portugal back in 1166 that officially established Évora as a municipality.

For those unfamiliar with the area, Évora is located in the Alentejo region in south-central Portugal, about 130 km (80 miles) east of Lisbon.

Operations will take place from the Alto de S. Bento site. A commemorative diploma is available for stations that make contact with us.

Keep an ear out for CS26FE on the bands. We hope to get many of you in the log!

    73,
    Francisco Carmo - CT7AJM & F4VSE
(on behalf of the ARRLx team)
