What do I need besides a weather station to in order to get the weather info to APRS?
Depends on the program you're using for APRS and the WX station. Some allow messages to be sent, others don't. Then you get to decide the standard format for that WX information. I'm not aware of any such format...
The thing is I don't know what programs there are to choose from nor the hardware needed.
I use a Davis Vantage Pro 2 and the software is called VPLive. VPLive can upload or you can configure it to create a file that your APRS software uses. I'm still using UI-View32 for APRS.
There is NO standard for the “data” that consumer Weather Stations produce.
Correct selection of the Weather Station for APRS encoding is Important.
