The past few afternoons, I had the opportunity to contact a few school clubs during the annual school roundup. These young operators are a breath of fresh air to amateur radio. Instead of listening to the garbage on 7200 and select frequencies on 75 meters, it was an absolute pleasure to hear and talk to these young operators. Some needed prompting, others sounded like pros. Elementary schools all the way to colleges. Every contact put a smile on my old face.

My sincere thanks to all of the volunteers and supporters of these clubs. And thanks to all of the young operators in these clubs for giving amateur radio a much needed spirit uplifting.

    73,

I worked a few stations the past two years and it was a lot of fun. I was away on business this year and couldn't do it. Some very competent young operators, and it was a treat to work them.

    Agreed!

Thank you students, faculty and/or Elmers that made it happen.
