It's easy to eliminate scammer preying on QRZ WTB ads. Simply follow QRZ's posted WTB Rule that says, " Prospective sellers MUST contact you using Private Messaging (PM)."
Put a note in your QRZ WTB ads that says something like, "Contact me via Conversation (PM) only". A scammer will not burn a hijacked QRZ account to reply to your WTB via PM.
Any email responses you receive will be from a scammer or from someone too challenged to read, understand, and follow simple contact instructions. Best to just delete those emails.

This is actually a requirement as stated in the rules for the Wanted section. People obviously don't read those rules and do post their email addresses in their wanted ad, but those are removed by moderators as they find them.
