    Actually all hobbies do...........

Her profile did get pulled rather quickly...

I'm sure law enforcement already has a copy of that profile page.

The radio was defective. It lacked an IQ modulator.

    Mod's cleaned house.

Looks like the Mod's have removed her profile statements...May have been the smart thing to do.

    In the Hemet area...

800 works without a hitch. I use a 5 watt HT to talk to govt systems (legally). What does this have to do with the topic?

I wonder what the licensed amateur husband, and RACES member
thinks of his wife's version of the hobby?

But they live on in Google's cache.

Equipment had to be seized with a warrant....

in California, which lists all items to be searched for and seized. A complete inventory is made, and the entire document and seized items are "given" to the control of a magistrate, which actually means, it gets logged into an evidence collection point. The sections you mentioned are for "voluntary"transfer under the control of the licensee, and not applicable to a judge's issued search warrant for criminal investigation. If California's law that punishes individuals for interfering with public safety communications was illegal, Jack G would have sued the pants off of the prosecution.

I wonder why the gene pool lifeguard couldn't call in sick? The bad part about the story is the mention of a "Ham Radio Technician". The reality is, 99.999% of us would never do anything remotely close to that. I hope she is found guilty, she does time for it, and the FCC yanks her license, and fines her. The sad part is, she could still order a radio online or walk into any number of business' and purchase another and do it again.

You hit it right on the head....

One idiot gives us all a black eye. The proper description should be a nut that happens to have gotten a ham license as opposed to a Ham that turned out to be a nut.
