    En estos momentos continúan las labores de resolución de problemas y la construcción de antenas. El equipo y sus ayudantes no descansan.

    After a week of failed attempts at 15 meters FT8 I gave up and went to 15 CW and got them on the 1st call.

    This is my proof that CW is vastly superior to FT8 mode at the high latitudes of my QTH here in the pacific northwest US when the A and K index are moderate to high levels.

    They have been borderline copy on FT8 with horrible fading and failed digital decodes on 21.091 FT8 and not workable at all on DIGI so I went over to 21.025 CW and got them on the first call.

    It is great that they are not concentrating on FT8 and using cw and I wish other DX peditions would realize that FT8 is not better than CW when in fact it fails more so when beaming almost over the pole.

    I had the same issue with the VU4 when the A and K index were moderate to high levels and they were not workable on FT8 but moving over to cw in the same band they were also worked aftert 1 call.

    People need to understand that these so called magical weak signal digital modes are nowhere any better than CW is as most people think they are.

    When beaming north during high levels of solar A and K index FT8 fails so much more whereas CW always gets thru.

    They are if the conditions are right, a fast rate of fading or arctic flutter can completely screwup an FT8 transmission. But if the signal is relatively steady, it can decode signals that are not audible to the ear. It can be quite amazing.

    But in the end, I don't do FT8, I stick with fun modes.

    My sunset in NE Ohio is 6 minutes prior to S2 sunrise. Does grey line propagation (40 MB) still exist?
