Does anyone have any plans to operate FD 2020 from their RV? I am considering it along with other options.

Not this year, but I did in 2018. I had made plans to go camping with a group of friends, forgetting it was Field Day weekend. After receiving permission from the campground, I put a dipole up in the trees. I made 100 contacts from the picnic table at my site, then shut down and went back to my friends.

FD is Everyday when you campout or RV op.
I've never done a FD nor do I ever plan to. I hate contests in general...
Lots of fun to stick up my aluminum pole to 33' or less, op CW on 40 or where ever.

My club hasn't done Field Day in three or four years. As President, I doubt I'm even going to bring it up this year.

I did Field Day by myself a few years ago from my Casita. I ran all the radio equipment form solar panels and batteries. I made over 300 contacts and had a blast. I am thinking of doing it again this year. John WD5IKX

That is a picnic table shelter. It worked great to attach my antenna mast for my "FD Special" HF antenna.

    Nice view!

I operated a few times from a lake in central PA. Similar distance from the water but a lot of trees.

Yes it was a nice view and being on a peninsula probably helped my transmissions. I had a spectacular view at sunset of a thunderstorm in the east.
