There are several rubber boots and grommets on the firewall, you're going to have to get creative. In my 2019 Tahoe, there was a little nipple molded into the big wire grommet that I was able to puncture and get a 12ga wire through. I ran the ground to the body chassis. You're going to have to be willing to gut the interior - trim, carpet, seats. Get a repair manual (Haynes, Chilton, etc.), and take care around air bags. If you're DIY - you'll need to get under the dash with a flashlight.
Hook into the electric brake trailer hitch 20 amp circuit may be the easy way. Hook it to the hot side, Or it will not work unless the brake is applied.
Run a single #8 wire for Positive, rated for the engine compartment environment into a loom, then under the truck. (either side, stay away from the exhaust system) If there's no grommets in back, find a spot in back that is convenient and drill a hole for the wire and loom to enter the cab, then seal it with silicone. Ground to the body/chassis near the radio. I've done it this way several times in various makes and models. There was plenty of spots to zip tie under the truck along the frame. On my Ram, I just used loom retainers zip screwed into the floor underside.
