    If you watch old Route 66 episodes, there are plenty depictions of radios during radio's golden age...or at least one of them.
    As a side note....Tod and Buzz always had REAL JOBS....doing actual productive work. You don't see much of that on TV any more.

    I wonder how a 21st century version of Route 66 could fly.
    Naw...probably not. People don't like shows that leave them thinking. :(

    Change the Corvette to a Tesla, change Tod and Buz to hedge fund managers, watch them cruise Rt. 66, which is now mostly a bunch of highways with various numbers, and watch them seek out EV recharging stations while meeting sign-carrying protesters along the way.

    I live 13 miles from the L.A. end of the original Rt. 66, which is in Santa Monica, actually right at the Santa Monica Pier on PCH. Also we have driven the entire length from Chicago to L.A. Most of it is really boring.
