I didn't realize it had started until I saw Pats FB post this morning.
Prop does seem long since I've only worked 1 station in AZ and am hearing others out there also.

Thanks PAT for posting a reminder.

Didn't get gg till 17:15Z today. Things are heating up though. Put 10 of them in the log since then while also watching two baseball games (Twins and Rays)

All on 20 meters so far. Oh but ALL modes in play, most on SSB but a few CW, one a good ole fashioned RTTY, and another even on FT4

Some R66 SES ops are struggling, but hey, at least they're ON-THE-AIR, not fixated on social media forums :p

Sure struggling here!! Only 7 logged!!! might not get a sweep this year!!! I do have other things in life to do besides be on the radio 24/7! Wonder if I missed any during the Chargers Game? None on I need when I came back. WOW!!! 30M FT8 is as busy as 20M!!!
Looks like the best place to work RT66 is on the East Coast. Well, I swept the 13 Colonies pretty easily this year from the West Coast. RT 66 is the toughest Special event. But getting me ramped up for the Pitcarin DXpedition VP6R in October. I need more than 24 band modes to beat my Ducie Is. effort.

Hang in there Pat @WA6MHZ ! Got lotsa time left. Look at that skyrocketing SFI.

Meanwhile I'm just past the half-way point. But the picken's are gettin' SLIM.

Prolly got all the LOW HANGING FRUIT and now will get NADA.

Finally made a successful band change down to 40m though.

No time for QRP for sure (especially the SES') !!!

In the log so far, lotsa blanks to fill though,

    W6A 9/8 1750Z CW 20m
    W6B 9/8 1958 RTTY 20m
    W6C 9/8 2332 USB 20m also W6C/p 9/8 1937 USB 20m
    W6F 9/8 2322 CW 20m
    W6G 9/8 2048 USB 20m

I was lucky to nab him @ 0021Z, just before the pile got REALLY big. Still took at least 10 calls, timing is everything. Was blown away he came back to me.

Incredibly, the guy before me said "Thanks for the QSO, that makes for a clean sweep!" I think it was a W8, or W5 ...

    HOLY COW !

I just have terrible Propagation to most of these stations. I am situated in the worst possible place to work CA &AZ on HF

Pat, do you have any capability to do 80/75 meters? (throw up a low NVIS dipole) I was pleasantly surprised by the level of R66 activity up there last night. Most were QTH's I had already logged, but missed a couple new ones, I and K. Just too much QRN here yesterday, and big pileups of closer in stations calling vs my wimpy top loaded Marconi vertical.

Came downstairs and was finally able to work W6N. I had been chasing him all day on FT8 but found him on 40SSB. Heard W6I, he was on 75M but as soon as I got tuned up to call him, he signed off for the night! Rats!
    YAY!!!! Got W6E on 80M FT8!!!
9 to go! IT is possible!!!
