Taking the Thai Amateur exam is a bit frustrating. The question displays fine, but the four answers do NOT display correctly, so it's impossible to get past the first question. I have tried Firefox and Internet Explorer, but none can seem to display the Google translation correctly.

Spent two years in Thailand some 10 years ago, but never applied for a ham license.

OH, the conundrums of the Thailand ham radio exam!

THAT DOES IT! I ain't moving to Thailand!

And, an "entry level' license scenario will never save our frequency allocations if the almighty dollar...or pound or euro... is wiggled under the right noses. But, the sooner we grasp the fact that the mystic of amateur radio for local and world-wide communication has long since worn off and replaced but the idiotic ease of cell phones and the internet. Creating some kind of "entry level" debacle, IF WE'RE LUCKY, would simply create the equivalent to the 1970's CB phenomenon. But, in THE REAL END, if it requires a test of ANY SORTS, considering the present state of discipline in this world and ESPECIALLY stateside, unless a license is handed to ham wannabes, an "entry level" WHATEVER is simply another chapter of PLACATING TO THE LAZY who want THE PRIVILEGE because they think they're ENTITLED TO IT!

Good job Martin es 73 my friend de NU4R
