I need a 500 Ohm pot for the motor unit of a Ham-2 rotator.

Does anyone have one from a broken rotator I can buy? I'd buy the whole rotator if necessary.

MFJ lists the part but it's a bit on the expensive side.

    Thanks and 73, Bob K6DDX

Way cheaper than buying someone's spare (or even defunct) rotator.:)

This is a very customized part, it's not an "off the shelf" item made by anyone.

Norm sold his business years ago and everyone at Hy-Gain is also new. Craig Henderson (the "Rotor Doc") is the only one still in the biz who was when these rotators were new. His prices are fair. I'd contact him.

Thanks but Rotor Doc email bounces.

    Try: n8djb@scrtc.com

    That's Craig's personal e-mail address. I've known him for 40 years.

Okay I mailed him. Let's see if he reponds.

He was a wealth of info on my HDR300 rotator (Hy-Gain's "red headed step child"). Sometimes it took a coupla days to get a reply.
