DARA announce the passing of Ron Moorefield W8ILC on March 18. He was a well known ham in the Dayton area. As I recall he was at one time a fixture in QRP operating among other pursuits. He may have been the first ham I met in the early 70s when I was a kid getting interested in radio. He was quite a notable figure in the DARA and I am sure many of you knew him or knew of him.
