    Roger Smallwood
    October 31, 1969 — June 28, 2025


    Roger D. Smallwood, age 55 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Roger was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 31, 1969 to Larry Smallwood and Rita (Weidle) Smallwood.

    He was the President of Operations at R&L Electronics for over 40 years.

    Roger enjoyed HAM radio, conversations with people around the world, travelling, gambling and socializing with friends across the country on a regular basis.

    Roger is survived by his life partner, Jeannie Spurlock; parents, Larry and Rita Smallwood; brother, Troy (Shawna) Smallwood; niece, Kristen (Bobby) Fortune; and special family, Jessica Spurlock, Danielle Spurlock, Jordan, Zander, Ma’kya, Amiya, Brayden, and Dante. Roger was preceded in death by his nephew, Trey Smallwood.

    Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.

    Died at age 55. 55-40 = 15. So he was President of the company when he was 14 years old????

    If I recall the company was founded by Roger and his father, Larry, the L in R&L. Father and son business and all. Would make sense!
