    Robert Phillips, Middle Grove, Saratoga County

    Robert M. "Punky" Phillips of Lake Nancy Road passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 6, 2018. He was 75.
    Born in Niskayuna on March 23, 1943, son of the late Owen and Doris (Figger) Phillips.

    He is the husband of Kathleen "Pinkey" Jean (Mihal) Phillips whom he married on May 4, 1963.

    A graduate of Schalmont High School, Bob worked 19 years as a bus mechanic at Schalmont and retired as a NYSDOT bus inspector after another 17 years of service.
    He served as Town Justice for the town of Providence and is a former chief of the Town of Providence Volunteer Fire Department.
    He was an avid member of several antique engine groups, a member of the Saratoga County Amateur Radio Association (KC2IV) and the Red Bus Hunting Club.
    He was also a licensed pilot and always involved in his various hobbies with Pinkey.

    Survivors in addition to his beloved wife, Pinkey, include their children, Margie (Jim) Carroll, Bruce (Sue) Phillips both of Middle Grove, Larry (Colleen) Phillips of Malta and Chris (Guy) Robataille of town of Florida, his brothers, Phil Phillips and Ron Phillips both of Florida, his adoring grandchildren, Tim, Patti, Bobby, Kelly, Katie, Danielle, Kim, Cassandra and Keegan as well as his great granddaughters Hayden and Adeline.
    He is predeceased by his grandson, Matt Phillips.

    KC2IV has gone QRT. 73's & 88's.

    Relatives and friends may call from 5-7:00pm on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Richard J. Ryan Funeral Home, Inc., 2034 West St., Galway.
    Funeral service will be conducted Saturday morning at 9:00am in the funeral home with interment to follow in the family plot in Barkersville Cemetery, Galway.
