    Robert passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side, after putting up a courageous fight with a short battle of cancer.
    He was born on June 28, 1939 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Lowell and Katherine (Popp) Cuthbert. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force (1959-1965).
    He was owner of Ultra Electronics Alarm Systems for 20 years. He retired from Dow Corning after 35 years. Working in Technical Service he produced many magazine articles, technical reports and has two technology patents during his career there.
    He loved hunting and fishing and appeared on national Television and a DVD during a hunt with Mossy Oak. He published a book called “Hunting isn’t about killing. Hunting is about hunting” about his life time in hunting.
    He holds a First-Degree Red Belt in Tai Kwon Do Karate and was a former instructor in karate at Delta College. He was a weight lifter for over 30 years and received a Presidential Award for weight lifting.

    He was a life member of Bay Area Amateur Radio Club with an Advanced Amateur Radio License (N8BBR).

    He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Am Vets Post 22, Polish Legion American Veterans Post 162, American Legion Post 18 and Honor Guard with the Bay County Veterans Council for 8 years and performed over 800 funerals.
    He was a past member of the American Society for Testing Materials (A.S.T.M.) and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (I.E.E.E.). He was listed in four Worldwide Who’s Who Reference books.
    Mr. Cuthbert was also an alumnus of Delta College with a degree in Liberal Arts.

    Mr. Cuthbert is survived by his wife, Carol, whom he married on April 23, 1960 and they spent 61 wonderful years together.
    He is also survived by his children, Steven (Mary) Cuthbert of California, Douglas (Holly) Cuthbert of California and Kristi (Scott) Becker of Bay City, Michigan; grandchildren, Scott Cuthbert, Truman Cuthbert, Madelyn Linton, Savanna Cuthbert, Travis Linton, Ryann Becker and Blake Becker; brother-in-law, Gerald (Carol) Barcia; many special nieces and nephews that were close to him as well as all of the Bay County Honor Guard members.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Louis (Darlene) Barcia, Clifford (Marie) Barcia, Elmer (Marge) Barcia and Thomas (Kay) Barcia.

    The family would like to extend a very special thank you to McLaren Hospice.

    Funeral Service will take place on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, with an interment to follow at Floral Gardens Cemetery.
    Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson.
    The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Bay County Honor Guard.
