    Robert E. Boyd, 83, of Endwell passed away suddenly November 2, 2011.
    He is predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy C. Boyd; a granddaughter, Jaime Boyd; his parents and a son-in-law, Daniel Heffernan. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and James Perlet, Rochester and Diane and Steve Church, Rochester; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sharon Boyd, Endicott; seven grandchildren, Lesley, Carrie and Keith Perlet, Michelle and Ashley Boyd, and Ryan and Patrick Church; sisters, Barbara and Ramon Alderman, Owego and Shirley and Eldon Reese, Greensboro, N.C.; step-brother, James Steinhilper, Amarillo, TX; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    He was a retired IBM Corp. employee, a graduate of R.I.T. in Rochester and a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII. Bob was a Ham Radio operator with call letters "W2YLM".
    His lifetime love was the Thousand Islands and his cottage. One of his great joys was spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
    Funeral services were held Monday Nov 7 2011, at 10 A.M. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main St., Endicott. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the memorial home on Sunday from 12-2 and 6-8 P.M.
    Expressions of sympathy in Robert's memory may be made to the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, 8 South Avenue B, Endwell, New York 13762-8626 or Meals On Wheels of Western Broome, 705 West Main St., Endicott, New York, 13760.
