I purchased my ALS-600 amplifier from him that he had bought new and later he made a simple shelf that sits over my K3/P3 combo to hold a monitor and other "stuff" including the amp's RF unit His dad Ty owned the lumber yard prior to Bob and was the primary contractor when my folks built this house in the late '60s. It never occurred to me to ask Bob if he'd helped build this house. For several years Bob would operate HF mobile from his Jeep, combining two enjoyable activities. Also not mentioned in the obituary is that he enjoyed shooting trap and did so often at Beatrice, NE.
